The Canadian Progress Club Raised 11,741 cans of food for the food banks!

The Canadian Progress Club’s Childrens’ Charitable Society (of Northern Alberta) brought Canstruction® to Edmonton City Hall to aid the food banks in their fight to eliminate hunger in our communities.

Canstruction® is an event in which teams pit their design and construction skills against each other in building elaborate sculptures entirely of cans of food.

This year’s teams came from:

  • Stantec Architecture Ltd
  • Johns Group2 Architecture Engineering/Synergy Projects
  • Cohos Evamy Integrated Design
  • Manasc Isaac Architects Ltd

The sculptures were judged on Friday night by the distinguished jurors:

  • U of A Dean David Lynch
  • Malcolm Johnson FRAIC
  • Carol Watamaniuk Deputy Mayor of St Albert
